This Hawkeye project was a real test of my skills. Unlike the larger models I’ve worked on, this one was a miniature figure. This meant that I couldn’t use my airbrush, which is my go-to for most of my models. I had to rely solely on my brushes and miniature techniques like hatching and stippling.
Hawkeye: The Miniature Marksman
The face was extremely small, and the eyes were a particular challenge. I ended up having to buy a new brush, a 5/0 size, just to get the detail right. It was a tedious process, but it was also very rewarding.

I spent hours meticulously painting every detail, from the wrinkles on his suit to the strings on his bow. It was a lot of work, but I’m proud of the final result.
This project was a great reminder that sometimes, the smallest projects can be the most challenging.
